overtyping versus inserting

Hi!

When I select some words and starts typing, word starts to insert this nez
text instead of overtyping.

I tried to change it via Tools>Options>Edit>Overtype Mode

but that did not resolve the problem.

Any other ideas?

Wrong setting! - Tools > options > edit > typing replaces selection

tab.
