"Overwrite actual work"-function, history actuals

Hi,
When I enter "history-actual-work" for a task that has a duration for a long
time (both back and forward in time), and use the "Overwrite actual work
entered by resources"-function the hours are published on the project members
PWA timesheets, also in future time.

Question: Is there a function just to manually report history hours in the
actual work field (in Project Proffessional) for a task that has a duration
over today´s date? (IResources also want to add new hours in empty fields
when the they reports hours after today and get these hours autimatically
added to the history actuals)

Or is the solution to create "history tasks" to get an on-going project into
project server (including history)?

I just realized that one solution could be to att the history hours
connected, for example to last year on resource level (task usage view -
table work). Then they are fixed and will not get spread out in the
resource's timesheets in PWA...
