OWA 2003 reminder dismissal

We're running Exchange 2003 front end/back end configuration on Win 2003 with
IIS6, Symantic firewall, running https. OWA clients lock up when dismissing
reminders. Have to use task manager to close the reminder process.
Reminders continue to pop for old events that never could be dismissed.
