OWA and Attachments

Our network is using Exchange Server 2003 SP2. Everyone is enjoying the
experience except my COO. She is having to come in on Saturdays so she can
work with her attachments in her emails. When she opens her email via OWA
at home or internally here, her attachments do not come over and instead she
sees "The page cannot be found error". I have checked her user account and
I do not see that there are any properties to set. She should have the same
experience as the rest of us.

I want my COO to enjoy her Saturdays reading her email without visiting the
shop. Anybody got an idea as to what is going on?

Is it all file types for attachments or just selected extensions? For
example, OWA is going to block by default the same file extensions that
Microsoft Outlook does. OWA also implements safe html where HTML* documents
can't be opened/saved.

Other than that... does your site support RPC/HTTPS? If yes, perhaps your
COO can use Outlook 2003 SP2 (on Windows XP SP2 or newer) to connect to
Exchange 2003. This is very cool because she will have the full MS Outlook
experience across an HTTPS connection.

* By this I mean, if I save an Excel spreadsheet in HTML format but then
change the file extension to .XLS and then send it to myself. You will see
that via Microsoft Outlook one can work with it. OWA will not. No
workaround this one other than don't send HTML documents.

PSS - Another thought just came to mind is where one just drag/drops
documents into an Exchange/Outlook folder. In this case, you want to know
what FreeDocs are. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834743

Hi,

I have seen this problem occur in OWA if 'do not save encrypted pages to
disk' is ticked in the advanced options of IE
