We tried that as the first thing. It didn't help. Here is
the exact problem we are trying to solve...when we create
a chart using the OWC the lines in the line graph and
characters in key values, legend and other places in
graph look fuzzy and jagged. Basically printout of the
gif created from the chart control doesn't have the same
sharpness as one from the excel. Even if I create a
picture of the excel and then print it, it still looks
more sharp then the gif from the web component. I tried
to use the logic of creating a big picture and then
compressing it but that didn't help either. Even on the
same web page where I am adding this gif, the characters
in the chart GIF are fuzzy as compared to the characters
on the rest of the asp page...please let me know if you
guys are not experiencing this difference and if there is
any way to make both look same...

To my knowledge whenever you increase or decrease a
picture you always loose some picture quality. Why don't
you just create/export the chart picture of the exact
size?
