OWC 11 - Conditional formatting in Pivot Table?

Lucas

Hi,
does Pivot Table have conditional formatting capabilities? I found those in
the Chart components but not in PT. Is it possible to accomplish?

Thanks

Hi Lucas,

Thank you for posting in MSDN managed newsgroup!

From my understanding to your issue, the "conditional formatting" in pivottable means to format data in graduated or solid colors which represent
values or ranges of data in your scenario. This feature in Chart component can format elements such as color and outline decided by the values of
the data points.

If so, based on my experience, there is no such feature in pivottable as this in Chart component in OWC. However, I'd suggest you can set the cell
background color, text color or the alignment of the text etc in a cell determined by the value of data. You will need to program for this. I'd suggest
the "Ad-hoc Grouping" sample for pivottable component from Office XP web component toolkit may provide some assistance for you regarding this
issue.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

Does this answer your question? Thank you for using Microsoft NewsGroup!

It's for OWC 11 (Office 2003). Right - click, Select Command and Options. In
the "Select " combo, choose one of your series. You'll see the "Conditional
Format" Tab, There you can choose colors and ranges for the conditional
format.
