hello,
I'm working with owc for months in local and intranet mode with no troubles.
A few weeks ago my department wanted to develop the internet side using
pivottables(owc10) in asp.net(vb) environnement.
I tried a lot but can't manage to use pivottable with an ado connectionn to
an sql database. the same error occures: "sql server does not exist
or you do not have permission". I tried to permit "asp.net", "anonymous
login", registered login, SA, and finally "everyone" in sql server
permission and roles. The accounts exist in win2000 too, D'on't still
work.
SO : is it possible to access an sql database trough a pivottable over the
internet ?
some people say yes, some say no, other one says i have to use xml as
dataset but give no example or help.
Can anyone answer these questions ? Or does someone have an example in
asp.net or articles that could help me solving this big problem ?
Thanks in advance
Pascal
