I designed a web application with a OWC Pivot Table (OWC v11) connected
to an MS SQL OLAP Server.
I created a role to limit the list of members on a dimension.
So I have a dimension that looks like this:
(All)
+-- Country 1
+-- Country 2 etc...
The list of Countries varies according to the user (using UDF in a
role).
I'm facing two issues:
1. When choosing (All) in the Pivot Table I don't see the total of the
restricted list but the Grand Total for all countries including those
that are hidden by the role.
2. When selecting all countries (using the check boxes in OWC), the
(All) choice is automatically selected and again I get the Grand Total
rather than the sum of selected countries.
When I use the Excel 2003 Pivot Table, I can select all countries and
leave the (All) choice unselected.
This to me sounds like a OWC bug.
Anybody knows a workaround?
Help appreciated, I'm stcuck!
