OWC to update data back to database

Hi,
I am trying to have an Excel-like interface on my web application that will
allow the user to update and insert new data back to the data source which is
an Oracle database.
I have been trying the OWC spreadsheet component but it seems to me that it
is more tuned for display purposes than for updation.
Has anybody achived this either thru' OWC or thru any other browser plug-in?

OWC does accomplish this and a full implementation exercise is included in
the black book. I've also provided a good overview of the process in a
message posted yesterday or so that shows how to accomplish this.
