OWC11 Line Chart Series Value Positioning

B

Ben

When I create a line chart with OWC, the series values always start on the
edge of the plot area. Is it possible to put some padding in there to move
the value off the edge?

Thanks,
Ben

You can try playing with the tickspacing but I seriously doubt it will give
you the effect that you are looking for.

Hi Ben,

I agree with Alvin's suggestion.
Based on my researching, the OWC Object Modal did not expose such a
method/property to set the space before plotting the chart.

From your other post, it seems that you are going to use the OWC in Winform
scenaio.
In Winform we provide rich UI feature, I think you may try to build a User
Control to do similar job.
Also to build a control which is exact as the OWC did would be complex, but
I think to build a control to draw the Line or some simple chart would not
be difficult.

If you have any concern, or need help about how to create a usercontrol to
draw lines, please feel free to post here.
I would like to be of assistance.

Best regards,

Peter Huang

Peter,

Thank you for following up. The tickspacing didn't work out and I don't
have more time to write my own implementation. I'm going to look into
zedgraph as a subsitution for OWC at some point.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your response.
A third party solution which fit your requirement would also be a solution.

Anyway, if you have any OWC related question, please feel free to post here.
