Owner and Manager Fields

Karine Johannesen

Hello ! We added the field "Manager" to our project view in Project Center.
The column "Owner" contains values, but the column "Manager" is completely
empty.

Also, if we go under Issues or under Risks, the column "Project Manager"
seems to actually contain the owners instead of the managers.

Can you help us find out why?

Thanks a lot!

The Manager field in the PWA Project Center views is pulled from the
Properties dialog in Microsoft Project Professional, accessed by clicking
File - Properties. The Manager field in the Properties dialog usually
refers to the person who is the manager of the person creating the project
(the Owner). Thus, if I were the Owner of a project, I would enter the name
"Gary Chefetz" the Manager field in the Properties dialog, since Gary is my
manager. I would recommend you use the Owner field in the PWA Project
Center views, but I doubt you will really want to use the Manager field.
Hope this helps.
