Hello,
For a customer I configured the allowance of making a new project only for
the Portfolio Managers group. The customer does not want to allow Project
Managers to create new projects. When the project is formally handed over to
the project manager, he has to republish all assignments and select the
´become manager of all these assignment´ feature. This works fine, because
all updates will go directly to the project manager.
If a resource however assigns himself to an existing task in PWA that update
will go to the owner of the project. The owner is the one who saved the
project plan for the first time to the database (in this case the portfolio
manager).
I tried to change the owner of the project to the project manager, but
without the allowance to create a new project I cannot choose any of the
project managers to become the owner of a project.
Does anybody know how to make someone owner of a project plan without giving
him or her the permission to create a new project?
Thanks in advance for your reaction and regards,
