OWPW

Has anyone had any success using OWPW with Vista?
I can install it and run it once. When I close it, I get a message Error in
Main .... It will not re-open. I have tried Windows 95 compatability mode
and have the same results. It is an old program which Peachtree purchased
and no longer supports.

If there is a work around I would like to know. The law office I work at
uses it for its bookkeeping. I would hate to tell them that if their
computers need replacing they will need to have a new program for
accounting. Especially because their CPA "loves" OWPW.

Hi Perlich,

You may want to post the question on the ability of One-Write Plus for Windows (version 8 or earlier) to work in Windows Vista. As
the software was basically discontinued at the end of 2004, you may want to also post on a message board specializing in accounting
packages as well.

While the CPA's may say they like the product, that all updates to the tables, etc have been done on a manual basis since 2005,
makes that a bit of an edgy proposition. I still have two clients running a payroll program I wrote, that has been unchanged since
1979, so it can be tough to let go <g>
