P&ID Loop Instuments

P&ID's normally have several instruments with the same loop number (symbol
number), but with different instrument types. When I put 2 instrument
bubbles on the P&ID and give them the same loop number, the instrument type
of the first bubble is automatically changed to the instrument type of the
second bubble.
How do I set the instrument type independly of the loop number.

Hi Ralph,

It sounds like you need to create a separate Category or perhaps a separate
Tag Format for the different instrument types. Visio lumps all instruments
together by default. Go to the Process Engineering menu and choose
Component Explorer to create additional categories. Go to the menu and
choose Edit Tag Format to create additional tag formats.
