I'm trying to re-install Project Server 2002 on my development machine and
get the following error every time:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Microsoft Project Server Tracing Eventlog Provider
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 7/12/2005
Time: 11:40:50 AM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: A70TCRPSMSPRJ01
Description:
Component: Views Notification Service
File: C:\Proj10\pcportal\source\viewsnotify\ViewNotify.cpp
Line: 695
Description: Failed to reset views scheduling table while starting the service
I've followed the exact same steps that worked several times before. The
error appears to occur immediately after starting the Project Trace service.
Configuration Info:
* Single server install
* Windows Server 2000 SP4
* SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (SP3)
What I've done, so far:
1) Cleaned out and deleted Project Server directory
2) Cleared out any references in registry to Project Server, Project, or
PrjTrace
3) Defragmented disk, run ScanDisk, etc. (couldn't hurt)
4) Uninstalled, reinstalled SharePoint from CD
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
Gilbert
