I've been getting a Project Server 2003 spooler error 0x8C04000D -
User windows account conflicting with another... I've seen other
posts and the knowledgebase article regarding this error.
In my case, the Windows NT Account value of an Enterprise Resource
Pool Resource (a project team member) is getting CLEARED - causing the
spooler error. Within the same Project Professional 2003 session,
when I look at the Resource Sheet, the offending resource's Windows NT
Account value is BLANK. To resolve the issue, I can UNDO the offending
Spooler transactions, close Project Professional, re-open Project
Professional. The offending resource's Windows NT Account value is
again populated correctly - simply by re-opening the project; I can
then Publish New and Changed assignments successfully.
Note: The Project Server 2003 Enterprise Resource Pool entry for
these resources is not impacted - the Windows NT Account value is
never cleared there in the Enterprise Pool.
Note: This issue does not always occur and happens with mutliple
resources of no apparent consistency.
Note: It does seem to occur on the LAST Resource as seen within the
Resource Sheet in Project Professional.
I'm hoping to understand the cause (or a solution) of a Resource
Windows NT Account value being cleared during a MS Project
Professional 2003 session.
Thanks for any ideas,
Brian.
