Package Active X components

I just created my first installation package using the developer tools for an
Access 2003 application using the runtime version. The application uses
Active X components (option box) but those components were not included and
the application features need those files.

How do I include those in the package?

There is an option within the PDW that allows you to add files, however, it
will do you little good because they won't be registered. You'd need to
create some type of chained install where the package containing the ActiveX
components actually registers them properly. Or use an installer other than
PDW (my preference).
