Package to CD

I have published my ppt presentation (package to cd); I reviewed the cd and
discovered that the timings are incorrect. Does anyone know why this is
happening, what can I do to prevent this from happening on the next cd?

HI Successpro

When you say some of the timings are incorrect whay exactly do you mean? Are
fast animations happening slowly or are things not happening at the expected
time or what? If, for example, you were trying to sync things exactly with a
music track I'm sorry to report that powerpoint isn't very good at that....

Hi Lucy:

I used custom animation (on click) for my bulletpoints. When I recorded
narration, I clicked to activate the animation each time I began to discuss a
new topic. When I played it back all of the bulletpoints appeared as
intended (in sync with my narration) until I packaged the presentation to cd.
Now the bulletpoints appear either way before I start to discuss them or
after I have finished discussing them.

Thanks for your help. Please let me know if I haven't provided enough
information.

Hmmm. What version are you using? Are you testing on your own machine or a
different one?

I created the powerpoint presentation in PowerPoint 2007 on my laptop. Once
the package to cd was complete, I removed the cd from my laptop and tested it
on my home pc.

I wonder if it is related to downsaving then (which is what happens when you
se package for cd on a 2007 file). Try saving your 2007 pptx as a 97-2003
ppt and see if the timing still works. I take it you are using package for
cd so you can distribute it to others? Are they specific people and do you
know what version they have or is it more for mass consumption?

The end user and their systems are unknown. But, I will try saving the ppt
as 97-2003 and see if this resolves the issue. Thanks for your continued
assistance.
