I created a presentation in Powerpoint 2003 ... it is self-running; it has
narrated audio (created in Powerpoint using Insert / Movies and Sound /
Record sound) and lots of animation. It was "rehearsed" and the timings were
saved.
Under Powerpoint 2003, it runs perfectly.
Under Powerpoint 2002 (SP 3), here's what happens:
1. The animation works fine as far as different items appearing and flying
in on a slide.
2. Sometimes, a slide advances before the audio has finished playing.
3. Sometimes, a slide doesn't advance soon enough ... each slide is timed to
automatically advance to the next slide when the audio finishes ... but some
slides have a 10 to 30 second delay before "automatically" advancing to the
next slide.
Powerpoint 2003 SP1 is runing on a Windows XP SP2 machine.
Powerpoint 2000 SP3 is running on a Windows 2000 SP4 machine.
Most of the audio is less than 1 minute per slide ... a few are a little
over a minute .. .I don't know if this is relevant info or not.
It's not an issue of using features that are not supported in 2000 ... I've
already checked that out. Again, some slides run fine but others don't, and I
cannot determine a pattern.
Any ideas as to what is going wrong? Thanks!
