Packaged for CD but presentation is over 8megs

I am having difficulty reducing the size of my slide presentation and have
removed the viewer from the package that I saved to my computer. When I save
as a slide show, rather than package for CD, the file remains the same size.
There is little animation so I am not sure why it is so large.

I am working in Office Professional, 2003

Well, it could be a lot of things.

Often it's oversized pictures. Or dragged-and-dropped pictures or other
items (like PDF files, etc.).

Sometimes it's an embedded font (Arial Unicode adds a LOT of size to files).

Hi

The first thing I would do is turn fast saves off (tools -> options ->
save -> untick 'allow fast saves'). For other ideas see here:
