Packaging for distribution

Hi,
I am using Access 2007 and have completed my database. Can anyone tell me
how I get rid of the ribbon and side navigation bar that has the tables,
forms etc listed. I don't want any ribbon or toolbars visible in my end
product.
Also, I am hoping to distribute a number of copies and want to give each
copy an individual key number is there an easy way to do this?

Any help gratefully received

thanks in advance

There are a couple ways to hide the navigation bar, set forms to open as
modal and when they open, they push the navigation bar closed. they reopen
when the forms close. now to keep it closed unless needed, click shrink
button on the top right corner.

for the ribbon, right click on it or above it and you will have options to
hide it. once hidden, it will be interactive like the old windows task bar
auto hide. you can also customize your command buttons. I have gotten mine
back to the old style. you can read articles where MS thought the ribbon
would make it easier for people to find stuff. yea, if you are new to
office. things are spread out in different locations, I know I am having to
retrain my mouse to find certain items. here is a link for other options:

You do know if you are wanting the ribbon effects to keep for the people you
send your database template to, they may not. I believe the ribbon effects
are based on local settings.

for the individual key number, could you add a key number in the database
properties where you put the title, subject, author, etc.?

Many thanks for your time and advice DM. It is very much appreciated. I am
quite new or should I say not a frequent user of Access so any help is always
good.

Thanks again
