Page 1 table not starting at top margin - extra space above

Table is only item on page 1 and there is extra space above it. It is not
starting where the top margin has been set. There are no visible formatting
marks above.

Do you have table gridlines displayed? If so, is the top gridline distinctly
below the top margin? (If you have text boundaries also displayed, this will
be easier to see.)

Yes, the grid lines are displayed in the document, but not to print. There is
space from the top of the table to where the top margin should be.

Make sure that there are no empty paragraphs before the table (Use the Show
All button (¶) on the toolbar to see the ¶.
Also, in the Table Properties dialogue, make sur that the Wrapping is set to
"None."
