Page background effect.

The pages for the 'Work Notebook' demo notebook in ON 2007 have a
grading effect on the background of the pages which match the section
colour. The top left of the page is in colour which fades as you go
the the right and down.

All pages I create have a simple white background (even though I
change the section colour)..

Is there any way I can apply the colour effect on my pages?

The "gradient effect" is just a background image. To duplicate it:
1. Rightclick on one of the pages that have it, and uncheck "set picture
as background" (set it back as background once you're done)
2. Copy-paste the picture to another page, and position it so that
you're happy with the appearance
3. Rightclick the picture and check "set picture as background"

There is no way to have it automatically match the section color
(although perhaps an addin could do the trick).

You can then save the page as a template to make it easier to apply the
background in the future. And no, I have no idea why that style isn't in
the default templates already. It probably should be.
