Your FP temp files and meta data may be corrupt
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) Open your site in FP, check you Navigation & run also a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
| Ok I will try to phrase this question in a better way. I use frontpage's
| navigation bar and page banner in all my webpages. However, recently when I
| was editing some of the pages, instead of seeing the banner or the navigation
| bar all I saw was a message. It read 'page banner not available on this
| web.' However, the navigation bar turns up fine when I view it in IE.
| Unfortunately, I dont have access to the computer I was working on now. Oh
| by the way, this problem occured sometime after my computer shut down because
| of a power surge when I was working on these files. Appreciate any help.
|
| Thanks.
