Page break preview

Hi there,

This might sound silly but I always had my excel sheet in the 'page break preview" from the VIEW tab in office 2004 but I cannot get that same layout in the new 2008 version.

Please help.

Confused.

Page Break Preview doesn't exist in Excel 2008. You might try Page Layout
View instead.

No no no no no! Oh, this is bad. Page layout view doesn't do the same thing
as page break preview at all. Please bring this feature back ASAP; meanwhile,
I'll go back to a previous version of Excel or switch to Numbers.

Please, please, please, bring back those dashed lines in Normal view that delineate where the pages stop and start. Page Layout View doesn't provide the necessary ease of use.

The dashed lines are still available in Normal view:

Preferences/View/Show Page Breaks.

I hate seeing page breaks, myself, so I use this script to toggle them
on and off. Perhaps that's something you can use:

tell application "Microsoft Excel"
tell active sheet
set display page breaks to not (display page breaks)
end tell
end tell
