page breaks

I have a large table created in word 2000. This spreads over several pages
and word has inserted automatic page breaks. How do I manipulate these? I
have paragraph format set on continuous. Word has insterted a break so I
have only one row on a page then three rows. Most of it looks ok but how do
I fix the one that are not right? I tried inserting manual page breaks but
the automatic ones stayed. Can anyone help?

Get rid of all the manual page breaks and use the Paragraph menu's "Page
break before" option by. This will override automatic page breaks. In
Tables-Cell Height and Width, uncheck "Allow row to break across pages."

If you have more than one cell in a row, you need apply "page break before"
to only one of them.
