I am having a problem that is affecting only one of our users that uses
Project Web Server. He is able to log in fine, and view tasks and
projects fine, and update and upload projects fine, but when he clicks
the link to go to the project webspace, he gets a Page cannot be
displayed error.
I have checked the logs on the server, and I've noticed that his
requests are met with a result of 200 - a success, so I can assume that
the server is sending the data back to his laptop. However, it is not
being displayed properly on the laptop. I initially thought it was a
'zone' problem, but the project server address is listed in trusted
zones. The strange thing is though that the webspace, because it is
using Sharepoint instead of Project, is on a different port (81).
Although this works for most people, this laptop user is unable to get
the page to display. I tried to add the project server address on port
81 into Trusted Sites, but it said it was in a different group. Having
solved that problem I added it in, only to find that it strips the port
number from the site entry. Am I right in thinking that the Zones are
not port-specific?
I have also put the server address into the list that our proxy server
ignores, but again, is this port-specific?
Does anyone know of any more settings in IE6 that would stop these
pages being shown?
Thanks in advance for your help.
