Page Footer Position

I have just moved to Access 2007. I cannot get any page footers on reports,
to print at the bottom of the page. They print immediately after the detail
section. If I simply hit create and go to design view of a blank report, put
labels in page header, detail and page footer I get the same symptom. I read
an earlier post that was corrected by repairing the database but that will
not work for me. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

"... will not work for me"

Does this mean:

a - I cannot do it
b - I attempted it and I still had the same problem

If you are able to "repair the database", HOW are you attempting to do that?

Are you sure you are using the Page Footer and not the Report Footer?
The behavior you mention sounds like you are using the Report Footer.

I clicked on the pizza button went to "Manage" then "Compact and Repair
Database". This did not solve my problem. I am for sure using a page footer.

the page. Unusual thing is that I can go to backup copies, ones that
i have printouts from that show the correct positioning and when
requesting a view their footers are now in the wrong place wrong also.

Opps... Nevermind. I forgot the differences between view and print
preview. Clicked print preview and everything looked great!
