Page Format Alignment

When inserting page numbers the default values appear to
be Position=Bottom and Alignment=Right. I prefer
centered page numbers. Does anyone know of a way to
change the default alignment setting to "center" so that
I can avoid resetting it every time?

I would suggest that instead of using the Insert>Page Numbers dialog, and
doing it every time that you want page numbers, you create a template that
has the page numbers setup in it where you want them and then each time you
create a document, use that template.

Hi Doug

Thanks for the advice. I suspected as much, but I am not
that familiar with Word. Mentally, I still think in
terms of Word Perfect. BTW might you have any clues as to
why when I tried to email your response to myself
the "forward (E-mail) link is inoperative?
