I recently had a pop up that said I needed to go to the
microsoft web site to download a patch on Word. I
downloaded that patch and now I can not format my font or
size. I can not change the margins in Page Layout. It
will not even accept it when I put in 8.5 by 11.0 for
paper size. It always go back to custom. In the format
section of fonts, all the fonts now only have one letter
for a name and word says it can not identify them. Even
if you type out the whole name it reverts back
immediately to one letter. Can anyone help me with this
problem. I'll never download a patch again. I went to
add/remove programs, but I can't find the name of this
patch in there. Is there any hope, or have I destroyed
my word program. I tried to reinstall, but it did not
fix the problem. So I am thinking that it must be caused
by this patch I downloaded. Help Please. Pat Ouellette
