Page Layouy Questions

I want to create an instructions lesson plan layout that is divided into 2
columns with a heading.

I want to use the left column for reference pages and the right column for
information the teacher must do for the lesson.

I want to have the information in the right column move down to the next
page when the right column is full rather than have it wrap to the left
column.

In effect I would like the columns to operate independent but not be text
boxes.

Is there a way to layout page so the columns stay in place and the
information moves to a new page?

Is there a way to force a page break in a column?

Thanks in advance.

Your best bet might be to use a two-column table without the borders (or
maybe use the border between the two columns). That way when you add text
on one cell, the data across from it will also move. I have actually
created a lesson plan template that sets either the left-hand or right-hand
margin to about 2 inches, with some code that puts a frame in that area.
The text frame is anchored to the actual instructor text so it moves as
information is added. I would be more than happy to send you a sample of it
if interested.
