Page Linking question

Jones

Hi,
When I'm using a onenote page and I am following one thought train then I
have another thought that I wish to make into a "separate linked but related
page", which is the best way to do this.

Is their some kind of "internal link" I can put in right at that point, or
should I use just a more general "subpage" to continue the "related
notes/thoughts"?

Kind Regards and Thanks in Advance

Right now OneNote doesn't support internal links between pages (but this is a
highly requested feature).

I have the same request. It makes a lot of sense in a package like this which
is all about linking thoughts, to have internally 'hyperlinked' pages if
necessary. I have a onenote page if quotes that I'd dearly like hyperlinked
to a specific portion of text in another page/section. Please include in
future updates!

cpw, as my onenote notes grew, they became unmanageable because it got
harder and harder to remember relatonships and how similar subjects related
to each other.
i finally became frustrated enough to switched to Evolution that lets you
link pages, url's and create categories.

Hmm, thats interesting! I felt sure their would have been some way to cross
reference things, unless the developers thought it would make it too complex
and do away with the simplicity of the product.
Thanks very much for your input.

Yes, I have invested a little bit of time in getting familiar with onenotes,
its an interesting concept, it does seem quite a different
"style" of note taking than the traditional "directory structure" that is
similar to windows directories or a system like "treepad" which is
a hierarchical system. I have become quite at home with onenote and this
feature seems it might be useful, I only wonder if they
consiered that to be too complex and would take away from the simplicity of
using onenote?

Sometimes products can be too comlpex to actually make them effective. It
might make it "less of a note taking program" perhaps.

Actually it was just that they had a relatively short window to create the
product and they just didn't have the time and resources to include that
feature in version 1. It's not a trivial piece of programming to make
that work properly. It is very high on the wish list for version 2;
hopefully they'll be able to do it.
