Tony M - Trials
Since upgrading to MS Office 2003, on several occasions I have developed
large spreadsheets, which I intended to print out on specified numbers of
pages, genrally using A3 format paper. Often in the middle of worksheet
editing, I get the error message "Page margins do not fit". The error
message can be very persistent and prevents me continuing with editing. If I
go to page preview to examine the problem, a tiny A3 format sheet is shown in
the centre of the Preview screen with a fraction of the worksheet (a handful
of cells) held tightly by very large margins. Dragging the margins out to
their normal settings doesn't help. Additionally, whilst in this situation,
when returning to editing the worksheet, the whole format of the sheet often
changes (on screen) dramatically mid-editing and the error message is again
displayed (repeatedly). Ic ould find no method of escape from this
phenomenon except, if I then quit Excel and then re-open the file, the
problem will have gone away. This problem seems to be cumulative with
prolonged use of Excel. Does anyone have any ideas as to how the problem
might be avoided?
