Page margins in word--pt and inches

My 2000 version of Word used on my xp computer has
suddenly switched from showing my page margins in inches
to showing the margins in pt (points, percentage or
whatever that means) I have searched the help file many
times without a mention of where this can be changed. I
want my inches back.

Check your settings in Tools/Options/General/Measurement
Units and make sure it indicates inches.
