Page margins WITHIN section

M

Marco

I would like to create a document with margins on the LEFT
page being different from the margins on the RIGHT page,
without using section breaks, because I'm using background
watermarks on the pages (linked as pictures through the
page header) that vary according to the left or right page.
If I use mirrored pages, margins switch, but this is not
what I want.

Mirror margins is a start. To that you need to add "Different odd and even."
This allows you to have separate headers for the odd and even pages.
Position your watermark on opposite sides in the Odd Page Header and Even
Page Header.

I was looking for the LEFT page could have 2cm left 4cm
right margins, and the RIGHT page 3cm left and 1cm right
margins.

This cannot be done by mirroring, odd pages, sections or
else.

Any hint?

If you're talking about the margins of just the header, you can change these
using paragraph indents (negative if necessary), and of course you can
position floating (wrapped) graphics anywhere on the page. But if you're
talking about margins for the entire page, then, no, you can't do this with
mirror margins alone, though you could use the
text-box-attached-to-the-header trick (combined with "Different odd and
even") to force a larger right margin on the verso and a larger left margin
on the recto.
