Page names in Visio 2007

Delphi

I have installed Visio 2007 Pro on my computer running Vista Ultimate. I
have downloaded all upgrades for Visio. But I have a major problem which is
a mega irritation.
When I insert a page either from the Insert menu or by right clicking a page
tab and selecting New Page. The Page Setup popup menu appears with the Page
Properties open. This is my problem there is no default page shown the Name
section is empty - if I enter a page name such as Test and press OK. A page
appears but is named to the default i.e. Page-2
I have uninstalled the repaired the program but cannot get the default name
appear.
I would appreciate any help in getting the program to do as it is supposed
to do

Is this in a non-English language version of Visio or do you have
something other than English as your default language?

I wonder if this is a bug causing a silent exception when trying to
create the next pagename.

Hi
Thank you for reading my problem. The version I am using is a UK version
with English as the default language. When I press Ok on the Page Properties
the default page will appear which I can change the name. When I was running
Visio Pro 2007 on my old computer running XP Pro this problem did not occur,
I could change the default name on the Page Properties popup each and every
time.
I do not think I am able to reset Visio Pro 2007 to a default setting.

I have used kb928218 to rip out any traces of Office 2007. When I reinstall
Visio 2007 it recognises I am doing a 'clean' install, but the problem
persists

I'm using the same version as you, also UK English. I can create the
same problem (sort of) by pressing the backspace or escape key when
the new page dialog is shown (this works because the new page name is
initially highlighted), then pressing OK. I wonder whether you might
have some software that automatically fills in fields in a dialog.

Hi
Thank you for getting back to me. I do not have any software that I am
aware that autocompletes forms - but that is something I will check. When I
select insert a new page - there is no default page i.e. Page-2 already
present

Actually, I have exactly the same problem ... I thought it must have been
one of my addons until I read this post.
New page name is blank ... entering a new name doesn't work, so I have to
use the page tab to rename after insert.

Barb????
