Page not showing top/bottom margins

In Word 2003 my top and bottom page margins have vanished in all documents:
instead of showing 8 1/2" x 11" in full page view it only shows 8 1/2" by
9". I don't know what button I hit to make it do this, but I can't find it
to turn off this "feature"

I am having the exact same problem and I think what is
not showing is the header and footer. Any way to bring it
back without manually telling it to show header and
footer everytime?
