Page Number

I have inserted a page break, so auto page number with i, ii , iii ...
and 1,2,3 .....
But it displays 4 instead of iv, when i click and see the footer it
displays the original number when i come out of footer i goes to 4

Shouldn't be necessary if you have selected i, ii, iii as the number format
in the Format Page Number dialog. Also, I believe someone reported that page
numbers formatted with this switch display as arabic in the TOC.

This is correct; a general switche applies only to the field(s) where
it is included.

A page break won't suffice. Instead, you need a section break if you
want to change page number formatting for part of a document. See:
