PAGE NUMBERING IN HEADER

I want to set the page number outside of the regular
margins for the book I'm doing. Every time I increase the
margin in the header, it bumps the margin for the whole
book. Does anyone know how to do this?

While in
View >> Header and footer
mode, select the header and use
Format >> Paragraph >> Indents and spacing

To go outside the document's page-setup margins, use negative numbers for
the "Indentation" values.

(I have Word 97.)
