page numbering in index table?

I've noticed some of my entries in the Index table are not complete. When I
marked a section of my document with a bookmark and then created a "XE \r
<bookmark>" entry and the bookmarked section covers many pages (pg 107-127)
it shows up in the Index table as "107-27".

Is there a way to force it to display "107-127"?

No. Word is using a style for inclusive numbers derived from an older
convention.
