Page Numbering in Multi-Secton Docs

F

Fred Chow

Hi all,

I have a multi-section document. I want to have two sets of page numbers:

The first set of page number numbers the physical pages in the document in
"Page X of Y" format.

The second set of page number numbers the logical pages within each section,
also in "Page X of Y" format.

My question is:
I know there is a field called {SecPages} for returning the total number of
pages in a section, but how can I restart the section number for each new
section, ie, the "X" in the second set of "Page X of Y" format. I tried to
manually reset the section page number by clicking the "Page button" of the
Header/Footer toolbar, however, both Xs will be reset by one. Any ideas on
that? Thanks.

Apparently I misunderstood the request. :-(

That's the only approach I know of.... and that anyone knows of, so far
as I know, it's the standard reference on the topic.

You're welcome.
