Page Numbering on Handouts Not Working...HELP PLEASE!

L

Lauren

I have a very large presentation/handout to print and the page number
prints out as Page <#>. I have the "page number" option checked in
"Headers and Footers" under the Notes and Handouts tab. I have gone
through the help functions, but to no avail. For the moment I have
removed the page numbers completely, but since it is such a large
presentation (over 100 pages with 3 slides per page), it would be
helpful to have the page numbers.

Can anyone help me solve this problem or give me a way to get page
numbers to print correctly? Any help is appreciated.

I am using a Powerbook G4, PowerPoint 2004, system 10.4.7.

Thanks in advance.

I have a very large presentation/handout to print and the page number
prints out as Page <#>.

Is this the page number that indicates which handout page it is, or a page
number on the individual slides?

If the former, try this:

View, Master, Handout Master
Select and DELETE the page number placeholder
Now do Format, Handout Master, Layout
Put a check next to Slide Number and OK the dialog
Go back to normal view and try printing a few handout pages again
