Page numbering problem

I am using Word 97 and I am having a problem with page numbering. Trying to
do Page x of y in the header.

When I click on View, Header and Footer and click on AutoText I do not see
the Insert Page x of y choice. How can I do that type of numbering in the
header/footer in Word 97?

Chances are you have either overwritten your normal.dot template or are not
in the header or footer style. Look at the style window on your formatting
toolbar. Does it say "header" or "footer?" If not, change it so it says
that.

Otherwise, take a look at

You can type this in as well. Type "Page of NumPages" and then select "Page"
and press Ctrl-F9 to make it a field and F9 to update the field. Then select
"NumPages" and do the same thing.
