How do I change the color of the font for my page numbers? They are a light gold and I want them to be black. Everything else on the document is changeable except the page numbers.
Thanks.

Change the Font Colour of the "Page Number" style.

Page numbers are automatically formatted with the Page Number style, so you
can change them throughout the entire document by changing the style.

If John's suggestion doesn't work it becomes a question of *how* the Page
Numbers were added to the document. Did you use one of the Headers or
Footers from the Elements Gallery?
