Is it possible to number the pages in a workbook if l have
multiple worksheets? I would like to number each
worksheet within the workbook but l need the numbers to
flow on from the previous sheets so l don't have to
manually change the number on each worksheet.
thankyou

Do you mean number the pages when you print them out? If so, group all the
worksheets you want to print and then print them all in one go, and Excel
will automatically apply consecutive page numbering for you. (I am assuming
you have 'page number' in the footers already.) To group worksheets, click
the tab of the first and then hold down SHIFT whilst clicking the tab of the
last. Or you can hold down CTRL whilst clicking individual tabs to toggle
them in to/out of the grouping. Don't forget to ungroup afterwards by
right-clicking any tab in the group and using "ungroup sheets".

In either of your previous replies you can verify quickly whether you
got what you want using Print Preview.

And again don't forget to ungroup your worksheets after printing
as any change to the active worksheet you make will be made
to the Grouped worksheets, which usually results in very severe damage.

Sheets will be printed in the order of their sheet tabs, regardless of order
in which they were added by the Ctrl key to the selection.

To ungroup sheets select an unselected sheet, or right-click on any
sheet tab and use "Ungroup sheets".
