Page numbering

In my dissertation, I have pages that are portrait and landscape. On the
screen, everything looks fine, but when I print the dissertation as a word or
PDF document, the page number is on the right side of the page. It is hard
to explain, but when I print the pages in landscape, I need to be able to
bind them and have the pages numbers across the bottom and not on the right
side of the sheet. Any suggestions?

What if you don't switch to landscape in a new section, but rotate the
text box on the pages in question?
