page numbering

Hank

Hi,
I'm in the Air Force and I'm having a serious
problem with a time critical document. The page numbering
is all wrong. The document has a table of contents, 9
sections, and 6 appendixs. The numbering system is as
follows:
Index: i, ii, iii, iv, .....
Section 1: 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, ....
Section 2: 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, ....
Everything works fine until you get to Section 6. It
starts over again at 5-1. Every section after that starts
over at 5-1. Until you get to the Appendix then it fixes
itself. I've had about 10 people look at this thing and
nobody can figure it out. The formatting is the same
throughout the entire document. Please say you can help
me. Your my last resort.

Hank,

I am in the Navy. Get a real job :)

Select View>Headers and Footers. In the footer of section
6, 7, 8, and 9. Is "Same as Previous" displayed in the
upper right corner of the footer? If so, toggle it off
and change the 5 in 5-1 to a 6. Repeat for the other three
sections.
