page numbering

Word 2002 and Word 2003. I've got a 62 page document. I
need to insert page numbers starting on the bottom of
page 5. I've insert a continuous section break on the
bottom of page 3 and insert a footer on the bottom of
page 5. Set the page setup on the header/footer toolbar
to applay to this section and section start to new page.
Set the page number format to start at 1. When I do this
Page 5 does start with page 1, however the first four
pages are numbered 1 through 4 and on page 5 the
numbering restarts with 1. What am I doing wrong?

you need to uncheck the "same as previous" button in the
header/footer toolbar. once you do that. just delete the
footer in the previous section where you dont want the
numbering to appear.
