Page Numbering

Peggy

I am working with some documents with several pages. In
the Header/Footer, I am inserting Page X of Y to reflect
the number of pages. When I view the document on screen,
it shows correctly as page 1 of 4, 2 of 4 etc., however,
when I print the document it shows page 1 of 1, 2 of 2, 3
of 3? Do you know how I can correc this to correctly
pring page 1 of 4, 2 of 4 etc.?

Thanking you in advance.

Don't use the Insert Menu option. Use the Header/Footer
toolbar to enter the page numbers.

Although this is generally good advice, it's irrelevant to this specific
problem.

Thank you, I have since tried that as well. It works,
however, when I save the document, close it and re-open
it, the header shows on page 1 (page 2 of 2). When I
click on the header it then changes to read 1 of 4 etc.

There seems to be something else driving this and I just
can't figure it out.
