Page Numbers in Word are Incorrect

Hi, I have a 6 page word document and I inserted page numbers. The numbers
work fine until the end of the document. Instead of displaying "6," Word
displays "1!" This is extremely frustrating and I'd appreciate some
workarounds (or a fix if that's even possible... dare to dream). Thanks!

Options for page numbering are specified for each section. To see
section breaks easily, click Normal on the View menu. For the section
where the page number restarts, choose View>Header and Footer. On the
Header/Footer toolbar, click the Format Page Number button. Click the
option to "Continue from previous section" and then click OK.
